Giving Life to the Dead Hearts

Sahih International

Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

57:17

Sahih International

Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

Reflection:

Allah warns us from becoming like those who came before us, those who received guidance, but time passed, and their hearts became hardened. But, subhannAllah, right after that, He gives hope even to those whose hearts *have* become hardened! He reminds us that it is He who gives life to the land after it’s death!! So now we may reflect: can the one who gives life back to the dead land not give life back to the dead heart? Allahu akbar!
